Freedom to Shine: Alexandra Kiroi-Bogatyreva selected for Paris Olympics

It is a prize and recognition of hard work. It is a hard earned spot that was paid for with sweat, tears, blood and sore muscles. But most of all it is the excitement of standing together with athletes, from different countries, from different sports, and sharing this dream together.

I actually am in awe of her grit and determination. And how she is a real professional athlete. A strong-minded character. That’s really needed for high performance sport.

I am really thankful for this opportunity, for the trust placed in me to help the team do their best. I will use my knowledge and good experience to deliver my best for Australia.
